What started as a call to clear out old electronics turned into a strong show of community support, as the Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club’s Electronics Recycling Day in April drew a stream of residents throughout the morning.
Held in partnership with the Town of Dedham and Complete Recycling Solutions, the event provided a convenient and responsible way for community members to dispose of unwanted electronic devices. From outdated monitors to long-forgotten cables and aging laptops, residents arrived ready to declutter—and they delivered.

Members of the Club worked efficiently to assist attendees and keep traffic flowing smoothly. Their efforts helped create a seamless and positive experience for participants from start to finish.
“We were thrilled with the community’s commitment to responsible recycling,” said Club President Bob Blood. “This event shows what can happen when local partners come together to provide a practical service that benefits both residents and the environment.”
Dropoff items are assessed a fee for disposal, a portion of which is retained by the Club.
After expenses, the Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club netted a nice profit which will go towards various community service initiatives.
The Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club consists of dedicated individuals from the ten communities that comprise the Neponset River Valley area. They are committed to improving the lives of people throughout the world and within local communities. The Club works to raise funds needed to support both local charities and the worldwide efforts of Rotary International.
